Week two post surgery for a broken fibula. Sure, there was no UFC but there was still some good MMA over the weekend. What was even better; there were good opportunities to make money, and isn’t that why you subscribe to the MMA & Sports Betting newsletter?
We cashed a nice underdog play on Nathias Frederick at +205 in the main event of Cage Warriors 111. Hopefully you saw my tweet on Thursday when I made the bet because Frederick dropped to +150 at the time of the fight. It was the only play we made in MMA over the weekend. Predictions for the event went 4-0 so I had a good feel for the match-ups, I just didn’t like the pricing.
Bellator London 2 was also this past weekend. Predictions went 2-1 on the main card, but we passed on making any plays. I liked Fabian Edwards but the odds were just too wide for my liking. I find Bellator difficult to bet on; and quite frankly, I don’t understand Scott Coker’s booking philosophy. Rarely do they book competitive cards. There might be one, maybe two competitive fights, but for the most part at least half of their cards are made up of mostly mismatches.
We ended the week (+)money everywhere except in college basketball. It’s very early into the season so there’s plenty of time to turn things around. For those asking, the NBA isn’t a league I typically handicap. I’ve learned over many, many years of doing this that I’m just not good at betting the NBA. I encourage all the younger, inexperienced handicappers out there to be honest with yourselves. It’s very difficult to cap every sport. Find what sports you excel at and stick to those. At the end of the day, growing your bankroll is all that matters.
We continue to kill it! We are up just over 20 units total for the year! Keep in mind, I’m not a professional gambler. I have a full-time job and a family. I post all my plays for FREE and that won’t change. I challenge you to find a handicapper as transparent as I am and as successful as I’ve been this year. I’m not a self promoter, nor do I talk shit about other handicappers. I’ll continue to keep a low profile, as is my personality, and keep winning my followers and subscribers money.
Every play I make is posted on Twitter @michaelgrocke for complete transparency. Congrats to those that tail. I appreciate all of your kind words.
I hope all your bets were winners!
